Company History
Our founder, Tara Bertone, has worked with children diagnosed with autism since 1996. Working in a wide variety of home and center-based programs across the U.S. and abroad, she has served several hundred children and families as both a behavior therapist and a speech-language pathologist. Over the years, she witnessed to positive impact of ABA and Verbal Behavior programs for learning and behavior in children with autism.
Of all the programs she has encountered over the years, one common thread is the disonnection between behavior analysts and speech-language pathologists in day-to day programming. Although behavior analysts are experts in teaching new skills, speech-language pathogists are experts in speech and language development in children. Our program was founded to address the disconnection between these two disciplines by incorporating ABA principles (HOW to teach) and speech-language pathology expertise (WHAT to teach). Through close collaboration between these two disciplines, we offer the best of both workls for children with autism to develop speech, language, communication, social skills and more.
